SEPTEMBER FAVORITES <3
Hi everyone!
It is the beginning of October, so I thought why not share my September favorites with you? I will try to do this every month - where I share all of my beauty, skin care and other faves with you all! Here are some of the products I have used the most in September of 2011 - and knowing me, you will get mini reviews on a lot of the products I mention! :)
I am going to start off with eye products, since I have the most favorites for eyes!
My first favorite was TAUPE eye shadows! I pretty much used them all month. Here are some examples of the ones I used: NYX's single in "Iced Mocha", Cover Girl's "Tapestry Taupe", Wet n Wild's "Nutty", 3 taupe colors from depotted NYX trios (don't know the names, sorry ladies!), and Femme Couture's mineral shadow in "Truffle". Yes...I really am obsessed with taupe shadows..!
These next eye products were MUST HAVES for me in September!
From top to bottom:
Revlon ColorStay liquid eye pen - this has such a fine tip on it, perfect for creating wings and very thin precise lines. It is long lasting too, I love this!
Palladio Herbal eyeshadow primer - this stuff is the best eyeshadow primer I have tried to date. Shadows stick to it well with or without a base and it does help significantly with creasing and my lids are VERY oily, so that says a lot. Hardly ever creases!
L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara - I used this for pretty much the whole month. I finally tried a new mascara and I actually do like it. It provides voluminous lashes while separating them and giving them length just as it claims to do.
Tweezerman tweezers - they are really expensive but worth the price, as Kandee Johnson says...your hairs literally are attracted to the tweezers with little effort, even the ones that are almost microscopic. If you can afford the splurge, I highly recommend trying them!
Real Colors Hydra Eyes waterproof gel eyeliner pen in "Brown and Dirty" - oh yes, it's waterproof, lasts on lash line, tight line, and water line for a really long time. I bought this at Sally's and as you can see it's getting pretty small...*crossing fingers* I hope I can get another one!
Lastly for eyes, I used these a lot this month, but I do every month anyway: NYX jumbo eye pencils!
I just grabbed a few from my collection to show you - from left to right: French Fries, Milk, Horse Raddish, Gold, Dark Brown, Black Bean, and Strawberry Milk. These are so amazing, they are creamy bases that are crease-less (with a primer of course) and they make your eyeshadow pop so vibrantly!
On to my favorite foundation, powder, and concealer for the month!
Foundation - Revlon's ColorStay Aqua mineral makeup - it's a powder foundation that turns to cream on your face - LOVED this in the hot summer months, so easy to apply, good coverage too. Powder: Hard Candy Welcome Matte amazing...keeps me matte all day and it's great for setting concealer too. Concealer: Maybelline FIT me concealer in shade 115 - shocker, cause I don't usually like Maybelline - but for under eye and blemish concealing, this stuff is so good! The way it applies, the way it dries, and it lasts all day, couldn't ask for more!
Blushes and Bronzer:
LIPS <3
I don't have much for lip products this month but here they are:
My favorite lipstick (or lip pencil in this case) was Hard Candy's Visibly Wet lip pencil in "Must Have" this will be the red I will be rocking this winter! <3 for lip gloss, NYX's Mega Shine Lip Gloss in "French Kiss" and Hard Candy Glossaholic in "Gorgeous" were my go to shades! Love both of these glosses to death!
Brushes!
My favorite and most used brushes for the month were my Elf Studio Powder brush and my Eco Tools angled eye liner brush. Both of these brushes are so versatile and can be used for so many different types of products. Looovee them!!NAIL POLISH =)
I was caught wearing these two colors on my nails a lot in September. Love both of these brands! Orly in "Buried Treasure" and Sally Hansen's Commander in Chic - this nail polish is so popular and I am in love with it too, it's a purply taupe color <3 <3
Almost done - I know - I am such a girly girl - but you are too if you're reading this! :P
HAIR
Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz serum - I have naturally curly hair and when I use mousse or gel or sea salt sprays my hair can tend to get crunchy - not with this! It also protects and tames down frizz super well...great product, and for the price, I will always own it!
Beyond the Zone "Rock On" dry shampoo - this stuff is WICKED good. It absorbs so fast in your hair leaving it feeling fresh and clean while providing volume and removing the oil in your hair...must have if you wanna skip a day on washing your hair ... in my case, anyway! One of the best dry shampoo's I have ever tried!
Okay ladies, I have two things left to talk about ~ FRAGRANCES!
In September I wore these two scents alone or both together, but at least one of them..every day.
Baby Phat "Lov Me" by Kimora Lee Simmons - I can't quite explain how this smells, but it has a very sweet smell with notes that seem to be vanilla mixed with some other wonderful things...love it for fall!
Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush body double mist in "Slice of Heaven" - this totally smells like caramel and birthday cake...I am so glad it is fall so I can wear this again...it's much too sweet a scent for the summer. I am not sure if you can still buy these body sprays, so I am savoring this one....
Well that is FINALLY the end of my September favorites - it's the first time I have ever had the chance to do this, so there were a lot of products I wanted to share with you all. If any of them interest you, try them...most of them are affordable - as I am here to show you all that beauty doesn't have to equal expensive!
Peace out until next time lovlies! :)
