Products in the Spotlight: Hard Candy - Glossaholic lip gloss and Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy lip pencils

Hard Candy - Glossaholic lip gloss and Visibly Wet  Shockingly Glossy lip pencils

Hey Ladies! On my Facebook page (link is on the right side of this page  -----> ) I have a photo album that I update frequently that's called "Products in the Spotlight". In this album I feature products that I feel people should know about and they are usually affordable but if they are not in the affordable category then they are there because they are worth the money. I decided each time I post a photo to the album, I will blog about it as well since not everyone who reads my blog is necessarily on my Facebook page.

Today I am going to be talking about some Hard Candy lip products that I am absolutely loving right now - The Glossaholic lip glosses and the Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy lip pencils! These are sold at WalMart and both are $4.98 each in Canada. If you can get your hands on Hard Candy, I highly suggest you check these two products out. For the price and the amount of product you get - and the quality, packaging and uniqueness found in all other Hard Candy products of course, these products are worth every penny!

I am going to talk about each product separately. I will also be showing swatches of each color that I have. (Please bear with me, I am new at blogging and swatching, I will get better - I promise!! :) )

Glossaholic Lip Glosses:

The shades I own shown in the photo are "Fairy" (a very light baby pink color with multi colored glitters), "Fireball" (a hot red color with glitter that shines gold, green and orange!) and "Gorgeous" (a berry pink color with similar glitter to what is the red shade).

If you do not like glittery lip gloss, then I definitely don't recommend these ones to you. They are so glittery, shiny and glossy. I personally love glittery glosses, so these ones are right up my alley! In regards to the packaging these lip glosses are huge! The wand and the sponge tip applicator are so much larger when you compare them to the size of a regular average gloss. The formula itself is ever so slightly sticky (barely noticeable but enough to make the gloss last a long time) and I would say the glosses have medium pigmentation. Here are some swatches:

From top to bottom: "Fireball", "Gorgeous" and "Fairy".

With flash.

Without Flash

I can't wait to get more glosses from this collection! I am enjoying them a lot!

Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy lip pencils:

These are the two pencils that I own. Hard Candy has many more shades with various amounts of pigmentation in this line. The red one in the photo above is called "Must Have" this is the perfect red for my skin tone that I have been looking for! The pigmentation for this one is buildable to high. The light pink shade is called "Cupcake" depending upon how pigmented your lips are this one can be built to a medium pigmentation. It just provides that perfect touch of pink, good for when you are wearing a bold eye and want a nuder lip. The finish of these pencils is amazing! It is like having a lip liner, a lipstick and a gloss all in one! The formula is creamy, moisturizing and glossy without any glitter or shimmer. I use these alone all the time and sometimes I use them with the glosses above - they always look great and I can't wait to get some more! Here are some swatches:

"Must Have" and "Cupcake" - with flash.

Once again I love the glossy creamy finish, these pencils are original and I would recommend them to anyone!

<3

I hope you all enjoyed my very first "Products in the Spotlight" post and that you go get yourself some of these Hard Candy lip products! You can see most of Hard Candy's products on their website - www.hardcandy.com - so feel free to look at the rest of the shades and pick up the ones that are YOU. :)

Many more great posts and product reviews/recommendations are on the way!

Thanks as always for reading!

Peace and <3

Eye Tutorial for Hazel eyes feat L'Oreal Paris and Physician's Formula - plus FOTD

Hazel Eyes Tutorial (Feat. L'Oreal Paris and Physician's Formula) and FOTD

Hi everybody! I hope you are all well and having just as much fun staying beautiful as I am! I had a girls night with my bestie on Friday night and I decided to go all out with my makeup and make my hazel eyes pop with vibrant purples. These colors would look great with all other eye colors and skin tones too, purple is just one of those colors that makes hazel eyes pop the most. This tutorial is featuring products from Physician's Formula and L'Oreal Paris, please keep reading if you want to find out how I got this look!

Here is a picture of my full face:

Now I will show you some more close ups of the eyes and get into the products and tools and how I created the look!

The Eye Look:

Products and Tools Used:
Products in the photo: Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips custom eye enhancing shadow and liner for Green Eyes, The purply pink liner from the Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips custom eye enhancing eyeliner trio for Hazel eyes, Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips custom eye enhancing Gel CreamLiner trio for Hazel Eyes, L'Oreal Paris Color Infaillible velvety powder 24 H hold eyeshadow in "005Purple Obsession", L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara in "Blackest Black".

Tools in the photo: Spa Resource crease blender brush, Eco Tools travel blending eyeshadow brush, a Maybelline eyeliner brush that came with gel liner, Elf Professional eye shadow brush.

So now that I have shown you the products and tools used, let's get started. If you want to keep this all Physician's formula and L'Oreal like me, feel free to go out and pick up the customized products Physician's Formula makes for your eye color and choose a corresponding color from the L'Oreal Color Infaillible line. The only product I used that was not by those two brands was my eyeshadow primer. I started with applying that from my lashline to right underneath my brow (Palladio Herbal Eyeshadow Primer). Next I took my L'Oreal Color Infaillible velvety powder 24 H hold eyeshadow in the shade "005 Purple Obsession" with my Spa Resource crease brush (this is a dense medium sized domed brush) and I started applying this shadow at the outer corner of my eyelid and blended it 3/4's of the way into my crease and up to the bottom of my brow bone. This shadow is like a creamy pigment that dries, so I suggest using this one first so you can create your outer V shape. These shadows are very pigmented and dry fast, so you must work carefully with them. Once you have your desired shape, take a blending brush, like the one I used in the photo above to blend your pigmented shadow to ensure there are no harsh lines. After this I applied the purple color in my Physician's Formula eyeshadow palette (third color from the left  in the photo above) to the inner 1/4th of my lid blending it in with the darker purple using a flat shader brush. I used the white in the Physician's Formula palette shown above (first color on the left in the photo) to highlight my brow bone and inner corner using my blending brush. Next I took a purple eyeliner from a Physician's Formula eyeliner trio for Hazel Eyes and applied that to my lower lash line (these liners are great for applying in this area, they don't budge!). I used a dark black gel liner for my upper lash line, tight line, and water line - from the Physician's Formula Gel CreamLiner trio for Hazel Eyes with my tiny pointed eyeliner brush. Lastly I applied 3 coats of L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes mascara to complete the look!

I love how this turned out and how nicely purple shades pop hazel eyes!

FOTD:

Here are the products I used on the rest of my face:

I used Femme Couture Flawless Touch creme foundation, Revlon PhotoReady Concealer, and Elf's Complexion Perfection powder to set those products. I used Rimmel London's Lasting Finish blush in "Berry" and NYC's Matte bronzer in "Sunny".

Lips:

On my lips I wore Rimmel London's Lasting Finish Lipstick in "Airy Fairy", this color is nude for me, as it's a my lips but better color! Over top of that I used Hard Candy's Glossaholic lip gloss in "Gorgeous".

Well that completes the entire look - I just wanted to show you all how I make my hazel eyes pop and a FOTD, I am totally loving all of the products mentioned in this post and many of them will be on my October Favorites list - some of which I will be explaining in more detail!

I hope you all try and do a look that makes your eye color pop! Feel free to ask me if you have any questions or if you aren't sure which colors make YOUR eye color pop, I would be happy to help so comment below! :)

Thank you so much for reading, have a great week, Peace and Love!

Fall 2011 Makeup Tutorial

Fall 2011 Makeup Tutorial - featuring metallic eyeshadow and double winged eyeliner

Hi everybody! I just got home from a dinner party, and decided I wanted to share my makeup look that I wore this evening with all of you because I used so many fall trends for 2011! I apologize in advance for posting once again AFTER my busy day when my appearance isn't 100%. I also wanted to let you know that I am working on improving my photo quality as well. I am new at this so I am still getting used to my new camera. I hope you all try this fall inspired makeup look or use it for inspiration for creating one of your own!

Here is a shot of my entire face makeup:

I chose Berry cheeks and nude lips to polish everything off!

Here is another look at the eyes, as they are the heart of the tutorial.

This eye look was actually very simple and took little time and tools to complete.

Here are the products and tools that I used:

In the photo: NYX Single eyeshadow in "Midnight", Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips custom eye enhancing gel creamliner for Hazel eyes (this comes with two other stackable colors, a brown and a purple), NYX Single eyeshadow in "Daisy", Hard Candy Eye Def metallic eyeshadow in "Golden Earth" and NYX Doll Eye Mascara in Volume. Brushes: The little black one is one that comes with Maybelline gel eyeliner, and Eco Tools travel size blending brush.

To get the eye look: First apply a dark silvery charcoal shade (I used NYX's "Midnight", a dark charcoal color with gold glitter), use a fluffy blending brush to apply this to the outer third of your eyelid blending into your entire crease until you reach the bottom of your brow bone. Using a fluffy blending brush to apply the dark color will ensure it's blended properly and that there are no harsh lines.

Next take a wet metallic gold shadow and place it on the rest of your lid and a bit into your inner crease blending it in with the charcoal color already applied with a brush or your finger depending on the type of metallic shadow you are working with. You can use a mixing medium and a pigment, or just a really vibrant gold shadow, or what I used which is a wet to dry shadow (Hard Candy's Eye Def metallic shadow in "Golden Earth"). If you choose to use the Hard Candy one like I did, work quickly, because it dries fast and doesn't budge.

After you have those two colors blended, clean off your blending brush and take a metallic light gold, glittery or not - whichever you prefer and highlight your brow bone and inner corner/tear duct area of your eye. (I used NYX's "Daisy" for this, it's a medium gold color with gold glitter but can go on lightly when used with a light hand.)

After this take an eyeliner brush...one that you can make wings well with, and apply the same metallic gold shade you used on your lid to your lower lash line and wing it out upwards towards where your brow ends. Next, clean off your eyeliner brush and dip it into a dark black cream/gel (or liquid if you want) and create your wing with this on your upper lash line. Make sure you use small strokes when applying this to ensure you get an even line and that it is connected to the bottom wing you made so that they are the same length. Start in the middle of your lash line and work your way in creating a thin line in this area, then create the rest of your line making it thicker towards the outer part of your eye. To make the wing, draw a line diagonally upwards toward where the end of your eye brow is to your desired length with the gel liner starting at the very outer corner of your eye and then connect it with the line you have already made making it as thick as you like. (Same step basically as you did to wing out on the bottom.) If you are new at doing winged eyeliner, this will take some practice. Also apply the black creme/gel liner to your tight line and water line.

Lastly just curl your lashes and apply your favorite volumizing mascara and you'll have a look similar to mine!

On the rest of my face here are the products and tools that I used:
Products shown: NYC Individual Eyes for green eyes quad in "940 Central Park", Femme Couture Flawless Touch creme foundation in "Golden Sand", Physician's Formula Happy Booster glow and mood booster powder in "Translucent", Hard Candy Moon Glow luminizing powder in "Luminizing", Revlon PhotoReady concealer in "Light", Femme Couture Mineral Effects blush in "Sweet Blush".

In the photo: Travel size large eyeshadow brush by Eco Tools, Small and large powder brushes by Eco Tools, Posh travel size blush brush.

You can apply whatever you like to the rest of your face with this look, many blush and bronzer combos would look great with the eyes. I chose a Berry blush for Fall and a natural bronzing/contouring shade. To get the look on my face, apply your primer, foundation and concealer as normal. I used the foundation and concealer above and applied both with my clean fingers. Next I set all of that with a translucent powder that has a tiny bit of shimmer using the Physician's Formula Happy Booster powder (with the big powder brush). Then I took the smaller Eco Tools powder brush and applied the matte brown shade second to the top in the NYC quad above to all of the areas on my face where the sun would naturally hit and darken. I then applied my berry colored blush with the Posh Blush brush and I used the large travel sized eyeshadow brush to apply the Hard Candy moon glow as a highlight on the top of my cheek bones and down the middle of my nose and on my cupid's bow.

I chose to keep my lips as nude as possible because everything else on my face is was so vibrant. Here is what I used:
Hard Candy Glossaholic lip gloss in ""Fairy" and Hard Candy Visibly Wet shockingly glossy lip pencil in "Cupcake". (These are from the Fall 2011 collection and I love them ever so much!)

I used the lip pencil first, it is very pigmented, but the color actually turns out to be a very light baby pink when you put it on your lips, and I just topped it off with the beautiful light pink glittery gloss! (Very light lips were also seen on fashion show runways for Fall/Winter 2011)

I love being in style and in with all the trends, I just think it's so cool to keep up with them and try out new things. I hope I inspired you to do a look with this tutorial and that you enjoyed reading it!

If you are reading this and have any requests for me or anything that you would like me to post about, feel free to comment below. I would be happy to have some suggestions! Thanks for reading.

Peace
and
Love <3

NOTD: "Purple Glam" - feat NYC In A New York Minute quick dry nail polish in "Prince Street"

Purple Glam

NYC IN a New York Minute quick dry nail polish in "Prince Street", China Glaze Fast Forward top coat, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail color in "Rockstar Pink".

Hi again everyone! I wanted to share another nail combo with you all. I am loving the color purple lately, for makeup, clothes, nails, everything!

To get this look I simply applied two coats of NYC In A New York Minute quick dry nail polish in "Prince Street" on all nails except my ring fingers (The In A New York Minute quick dry nail polishes are $2 - $5 and they are pigmented and great quality! They also have a unique color range.) On my accent nails is two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail color in "Rockstar Pink". (This is a gorgeous sparkly purple nail color with smaller amounts of blue, pink, and gold sparkles in it. <3) I sealed my manicure with China Glaze's Fast Forward top coat. (I bought this about 2 weeks ago and so far I am loving it much more than what I was previously using (Seche Vite) - this dries your manicure fast, stays shiny until you remove your manicure and prevents chipping. I highly recommend this top coat!)

I just bought NYC's "Prince Street" a week ago, and I am pretty sure Sally Hansen's "Rockstar Pink" may still be available as well. If you can find these colors and enjoyed this nail combo, please try it out and show me how it goes by uploading a photo on my Facebook page! I would love to see it, or any other nail combos or manicures you girls are rocking right now!

Thanks for reading ladies and I am sending peace and love to you all!

Tutorial: Purple Eye Look featuring NYX Cosmetics - and FOTD

Purple Eyeshadow Tutorial and FOTD

Hey everyone! Since I named NYX Cosmetics my #1 favorite affordable makeup brand, I thought I would do an eye tutorial using almost all NYX products. I chose a purple look, because purple is my favorite color to wear on my eyes! I will also do a FOTD and share the products I used on my lips and the rest of my face. If you want to learn how to achieve the look in the photo above, please keep reading!

The eye look

I will start off by showing you closeups of the look as usual and then I will show you what products and brushes I used and tell you how I used them.

Here are some closeups:

Next I will show you photos of all the products and tools I used. I used ALL NYX products on my eyes except for my primer as I do not own one from NYX (yet).

Products
Products in the photo: NYX "For Your Eyes Only" Beautiful Green Eyes 10 pan palette (I used the first and last color in the 2nd row in this tutorial). NYX Single eyeshadows in "Frosted Lilac", "Prune" and "Midnight". NYX Jumbo eye pencil in "Lilac", NYC Eye/Eyebrow pencil in "Black", NYX Doll Eye mascara in Volume, Palladio Herbal eyeshadow primer.

Tools
Brushes in the photo: Eco Tools angled eyeliner brush, Eco Tools travel blending brush, Elf Professional blending eye brush, Elf Professional Eye Shadow Brush.

To achieve the eye look: If you want to keep it all NYX, use a NYX eyeshadow primer if you have one. Next, apply NYX Jumbo eye pencil in "Lilac" all over your lid blending slightly into your crease and also apply some on your lower lash line as we will be applying shadow there as well. After that place NYX Single eyeshadow in "Frosted Lilac" over the entire lid with a flat shader brush similar to the one I used. Next I used the purple color that is on the end in the second row of my palette as a transition color in the crease and a bit above it with a crease brush. I then applied NYX Single in "Prune" blending it above the transition color I used with the same crease brush. To define my crease I used NYX single in "Midnight" with my Eco Tools angled eyeliner brush (I have a small crease and small eyes in general so this works best for me) applying it to the outer third of the crease and I blended it down onto my lid creating a "V" shape. Next, wipe off your angled eyeliner brush or whatever you use for your outer V and use this to apply "Prune" to your lower lash line. I used the light shimmery skin toned color in my palette (the first color in the second row) to highlight my brow bone and in my inner corner tear duct area using my Eco Tools travel blending brush. Lastly I applied NYX Eye/Eyebrow pencil in "Black" to my lash line, tight line and water line. I finished the look off by curling my lashes and applying 2 coats of NYX Doll Eye mascara in Volume.

Face

Products
Products in the picture: Revlon ColorStay Aqua mineral foundation in "Fair", Hard Candy Welcome Matte pressed powder in "Mattifying", NYC Matte Bronzer in Sunny, Rimmel London Lasting Finish blush in "Berry", Hard Candy Sheer Envy skin perfecting primer and Revlon PhotoReady concealer in "Light".

Tools
Brushes in the photo: From top to bottom - Eco Tools small powder brush, Eco Tools large powder brush (sorry ladies, I don't know the exact names of these), Eco Tools mineral travel eye blending brush, ELF Professional bronzing brush, ELF Studio powder brush.

For my face I started off with my Hard Candy Skin Perfecting primer, next with my small Eco Tools powder brush, I applied my Revlon ColorStay Aqua mineral foundation in patting motions all over my face. After that I applied my Revlon PhotoReady concealer underneath my eyes and on any other blemishes or imperfections. I used my Eco Tools mineral travel eye blending brush to blend out my concealer with my Hard Candy Welcome Matte pressed powder to make it look flawless. Next I applied my Hard Candy powder all over the rest of my face to seal my makeup with my larger Eco Tools powder brush. I then used my ELF Professional bronzing brush and applied NYC's Matte bronzer in "Sunny" to contour my cheeks, jaw line, and temples. Lastly I applied Rimmel London's Lasting Finish blush in "Berry" on my cheeks blending upwards into my hair line with my ELF Studio powder brush.

Lips

As always I used Carmex to moisturize my lips. Then I used Rimmel London's Lasting Finish lipstick in "Airy Fairy" with Femme Couture's Lip Luster lip gloss in "Berries n Cream" on top.

That completes the look ladies! I hope you all liked how it turned out and remember: if you don't own the products I used, use similar ones to achieve a look that looks almost the same! Just wanted to give NYX Cosmetics some more LOVE.

Peace and LOVE to all of you as well!

Thanks for reading!! <3

My Top Ten AFFORDABLE makeup brands!

My top 10 favorites - Affordable Cosmetic Brands!

Hey ladies! I am going to post today about my top 10 favorite makeup brands that are AFFORDABLE and still amazing. These brands that I am going to talk about are a bargain for your money and I couldn't live without them! I am going to show you some items from each brand that I pulled out of my collection. These are not necessarily my entire collection for the brands mentioned I just wanted to give you all a general idea of some of the products these brands sell. I am also going to give you a brief description about each brand and why I love them so much! Read on if you want to see some great examples of affordable makeup!

#1 - NYX Cosmetics
NYX products in the photo: NYX single eyeshadow in "Frosted Lilac", "Rust" and "Midnight". NYX "For Your Eyes Only" 10 pan palette for green eyes. NYX Mosaic powder in "Rosey", NYX concealer in a jar in "Fair", NYX "Lip Smacking Fun Colors" lipstick in "Narcissus", NYX lipliner pencils in "Rose" and "Tangerine", NYX Mega Shine lip gloss in "French Kiss". NYX Eye/Eyebrow pencils in "Dark Brown" and "Purple", NYX Doll Eye mascara in "Volume", NYX Jumbo eye pencils in "Gold" and "French Fries" and NYX Ultra Pearl Mania pigments in "Yellow Gold" and "Nude Pearl".

NYX Cosmetics  is up there on the list for my favorite brand of cosmetics. Prices range for their products depending upon where you get them and what the product is, but it's ALWAYS affordable and the quality of NYX products are amazing. NYX can be purchased at many drugstores all over the world, at www.nyxcosmetics.com, and at discounted prices on www.cherryculture.com. I recommend this brand to everyone, they have a very wide selection of products and shades and things that suit people of all skin tones and ages. NYX products are unique and so fun to use.

#2 - Hard Candy
Hard Candy products in the photo: Hard Candy So Baked bronzer in "Tiki", Moon Glow luminizing powder, Welcome Matte powder in "Mattifying", Fox in a Box blush/bronzer duo in "Truth or Dare", Glossaholic lipgloss in "Gorgeous", Plumping Serum volumizing lip gloss in "Pink Lady",  Sheer Envy skin perfecting face primer, a mini Glow All The Way face and body luminizer in "Doll Face", Hide and Glow Cheek duo cheek tint in "Pillow Talk", Button You Lip ultra wet lip gloss in "Pixie", automatic lip liner in "Blush", Painted Lady lip color in "Knock-out", tinted lip balm in "Fishnet", LASHAHOLIC Super Volume mascara in "Blackest Black", Eye Def metallic eyeshadow in "Golden Earth" and "Flash", Take Me Out Liner glitter eyeliner pencil in "Notorious", and Walk The Line liquid eyeliner in "Licorice".

Hard Candy is another brand that I absolutely love! I own more products from Hard Candy than any other brand that exists. So that pretty much explains in one sentence how much I recommend this brand! Hard Candy is a brand for people who are more "out there" with their makeup. If you are a more neutral look type of girl this brand may not be a favorite for you. Hard Candy is very affordable, I have not seen a product from this brand over $10. Another pro is that the expiry recommendations on Hard Candy's products say they should last a long time, which means their formulas are made to last making it even more worth your money! And the best pro of all about this brand, is that they list on every product that they DO NOT test on animals. <3 It is unfortunately exclusively sold at Walmart so you can only buy it if you live in Canada and the United States. That is the only con I have to say about Hard Candy, I really think they should sell it everywhere in the world!

#3 - Eco Tools

I am not sure of the exact names of all of the brushes shown in the photo, but I own almost every makeup brush made by Eco Tools so if you see one you like go to your local drugstore (most drugstores sell it!). They are all natural brushes made from synthetic fibers. These are the SOFTEST brushes I have ever owned or tried. These are my favorite brushes and I use most of them every time I do my makeup. They apply products great, they are A+ quality, and when you wash them they do not shed or lose shape. I strongly urge you to go and try these if you haven't! I believe they range from $3 - $12 at most drugstores. I have nothing bad to say about these brushes! I will always use them.

#4 - Revlon
Revlon products in the photo: Revlon ColorStay mineral finishing powder in "Brighten", Matte powder blush in "Perfectly Peach", PhotoReady stick concealer in "Light", Revlon Eye lash curler, Super Lustrous lip balm in "Pink Crystal", Super Lustrous lip gloss in "Peach Petal", ColorBurst lip gloss in "Peony", ColorStay liquid eye pen in "Blackest Black", PhotoReady liquid foundation in "Vanilla", ColorStay Aqua mineral foundation in "Fair", Age Defying with "DNAdvantage" cream foundation in "Fresh Ivory", Beyond Natural skin matching foundation with SPF 15 in "Light", Nail polishes: "Hot for Chocolate" and "Bubble Gum".

I won't say much about Revlon, since most people know about this brand and have tried something from it. It's an awesome one, they have everything from makeup to hair tools and although they are a pricier drugstore brand Revlon's products are still affordable compared to most higher end brands. Revlon is a brand trusted by many women all around the world and it had to be in my top 10!

#5 - Sally Hansen
Sally Hansen products in the photo: from left to right - Complete Salon Manicure nail polishes in "Gilty Pleasure", "Shell We Dance" and "Midnight in NY". Insta Dry anti-chip top coat, Diamond Shine base and top coat, Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear nail polishes in "Bubblegum Pink" and "Rockstar Pink", Sally Hansen nail file.

Sally Hansen can as well be sold at most drugstores. All I currently own from Sally Hansen is nail products (many more than what is shown above), but they also make products for eyes and lips too and makeup tools. I trust this brand and I have been using it for years. When I use up some of the makeup I currently have, I will be sure to check out more of Sally Hansen's products - because their nail products are such great quality so I am sure everything else they make is too!

#6 - Rimmel London
Rimmel London products shown: Glam Eyes mono eyeshadows in "Royal Linen" and "Dusk", Glam Eyes quad eyeshadow in "Smokey Purple", Lasting Finish blendable powder blush in "Berry", Professional eyebrow pencil in "Hazel", Stay Glossy lip gloss in "Non-stop Glamor", Moisture Renew cream lip gloss in "Pink Benefit", Lasting Finish lipstick in "Airy Fairy", Moisture Renew lipstick in "Latino". Nailpolish "Blackout", "Stiletto Red", "Night Before".

My favorite Rimmel products are their nail polishes! All the lines have gorgeous colors that last long and take only one quick coat to apply. Of course I enjoy all of my other Rimmel London products too, or it wouldn't have made this list. Rimmel sells everything from foundation to primer to things like I have above. Nice quality and formula for a great price!

#7 - Femme Couture
Femme Couture products shown: Femme Couture Flawless Touch creme foundation in "Golden Sand", Mineral Effects eyeshadows in "Truffle" and "Pink Sand", Super Juicy Sheer lip gloss with vitamin E, Mineral Effects baked eyeshadow in "Pinkini", Lip Luster lip glosses in "Creamy Coral" and "Berries n' Creme, Mineral Effects blush in "Sweet Blush".

I just discovered Femme Couture about 5 or 6 months ago and I am so happy I did. In the photo is everything I have thus far in my Femme Couture collection and I adore all of the products. It can be purchased at Sally Beauty Supply stores, sadly I don't think it is sold anywhere else. If you have a Sally's near you, definitely try these products out! I can't wait to expand my Femme Couture collection. The prices are right and so is the quality! <3 Femme Couture!

#8 - NYC (New York Color)
NYC products shown: Cheek Glow in "West Side Wine", Matte Bronzer in "Sunny", Individual Eyes quad for green eyes in "Central Park", Color Wheel Mosaic face powder in "Pink Cheek Glow", Blushable Creme Stick in "Plaza Pink", NYC Smooth Skin loose face powder in "Translucent", In a New York Minute quick dry nail polishes in "Prince Street" and "Prospect Park Pink".

I remember buying NYC when I was a teenager, because it was so inexpensive it was all I could afford. I don't remember how the quality of NYC's products were back then but I do know that it is awesome now. NYC has totally stepped up their game in aspects of things such as quality, color selection and product originality. It is one of the most inexpensive brands I know and the prices are so reasonable that I sometimes have to look twice! If you are on a budget, try these products!

#9 - Wet n Wild
Wet n Wild products in the photo: Coloricon Blusher in "Pearlescent Pink", 6 pan Coloricon eyeshadow palette in "Greed", Coloricon trio in "Sweet As Candy", Wild Shine nail polish in "Sparked", Coloricon single eyeshadows in "Kitten" and "Brulee".

Just like NYC, Wet n Wild is one of the most inexpensive brands I know of and they are also stepping up their game with quality while still keeping their prices almost unbeatable! I only own Coloricon eyeshadows (a lot more than shown above) and the blush and the nail polish. What I do own rocks for the price I paid for it, so I will be trying other Wet n Wild products in the future.

#10 - ELF (Eye Lips Face Cosmetics)
Elf products shown: 32 piece eyeshadow palette (Studio), Complexion Perfection powder (Studio), Eyeshadow primer (Mineral),  Eyeshadow quad in "Nouveau  Neutrals" (Professional), Shimmer eyeliner pencils in Gold and Black [sorry ladies, mine do not have names on them] (Professional) , Natural Radiance Blusher in "Innocence" (Professional), Minty Lip gloss in "Los Angeles" (Studio), Luscious liquid lipstick in "Strawberry" (Professional),  Eyeshadow brush (Professional), Blending eye brush (professional).

Elf products are super affordable!! They have 3 main lines Professional (most products in this line are $1), Studio (most cost $3 in this line), and Mineral (approx $5 per product). They have anything and everything you could EVER need to do your makeup with. My experiences with ELF products have varied but for the most part, I loved mostly everything I have tried from all 3 lines. It can be purchased at Winners/Zellers in Canada and at Target in the USA, however everything they sell is on their website, www.eyeslipsface.com and they ALWAYS have some sort of sale going on. If you are on a budget and you are looking for something new and you haven't tried ELF Cosmetics yet, go for it and give ELF a try!

<3

I hope you all try out some of these brands and products for yourself, you will see how good they are for the price you pay for them! I had so much fun writing this and sharing my top 10 with you. Please share yours with me too! :)

Have a good Friday and a Great weekend. Thanks for reading!

Peace and Love

What's in my Makeup Bag!

What's in my Makeup Bag

Hey beautiful ladies! I am posting today about what is in my makeup bag that I carry around daily in my purse. I just got this makeup bag today for only $1 at the Dollarama (a Canadian dollar store) and I thought it would be cool to show you what is in it. It is just as good of quality as one you would pay $40 for, it was a total bargain! I love black and gold together and Zebra print is another thing that I am loving right now. The bag is also very roomy although it may look small. I carry around enough makeup to do my full face just incase I am in a hurry and can't do it at home or end up staying the night somewhere. I like to be prepared!

Here is what it looks like with everything in it:

On a daily basis I take everything I need from moisturizer to bronzer to brushes in my makeup bag. I took everything out to show you what's inside - so here it is, enjoy!

Face products:

These are the face products I am currently taking with me everywhere!

Femme Couture Flawless Touch creme foundation in "Golden Sand", NYC's matte bronzer in "Sunny", Elf Complexion Perfection (it's a skin correcting powder with 4 different colors, great for a setting/blotting powder), Eco Tools retractable kabuki brush, Revlon PhotoReady concealer in "Light", Palladio rice paper blotting sheets, Rimmel London Lasting Finish blush in "Berry" (I just bought this and I love it!), a mini Hard Candy Sheer envy face primer, Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion (not for every day but it works as a moisturizer in emergency situations), and a cosmetic wedge.

Now I will show you everything inside that is for eyes and lips. The lip combo changes daily of course, because I carry what I am using for the day.

Eyes and Lips

The products in the photo:

Eyes: NYX's Doll Eye mascara in Volume, Palladio Herbal eyeshadow primer, Wet n Wild's 6 pan palette in "Vanity" (the perfect colors to carry, perfect for any occasion!), Tweezerman tweezers, Elf Professional Eye Shadow Brush, Elf Professional Blending Eye Brush, Real Colors Hydra Eye waterproof eyeliner pencil in "Brown and Dirty", NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencil in "Milk" (a white eyeshadow base), Q-Tips, and eyedrops.

Lips: today the lip combo I wore was all Hard Candy: Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy lip pencil in "Must Have" and Glossaholic lipgloss in "Fireball".

So that's it, I know it seems like I carry a lot but I feel comfortable knowing I can do my makeup anytime, anywhere!

Here is my makeup bag completely empty:

The products in my makeup bag do not stay the same, they vary from day to day or week to week. I hope you all enjoyed seeing what I am carrying around with me at this point in time! :) Please share a link to what is in your makeup bag if you have a blog post or a video, I would love to see it!

As always thanks a lot for reading and I will talk to you soon! Peace and love!
